What are clear aligners?
Clear aligners are thin, custom-fit plastic trays you wear over your teeth. You swap to a new set every couple of weeks, and each one nudges your teeth a little closer to where they're supposed to be.

Aligners are nearly invisible and you can take them out to eat, brush, and floss like normal. The tradeoff: they only work when you're wearing them. Most cases need 20–22 hours a day to stay on schedule. If that sounds doable, aligners are a great option for mild to moderate cases. If your case is more complex or compliance is a concern, we'll tell you straight—sometimes braces are the better tool.

How treatment works

1
Free consultation & treatment plan

We evaluate your teeth, take a 3D scan, and show you a preview of how your teeth will move from start to finish—along with the full timeline and cost.

2
Aligners arrive, treatment begins

Your custom trays are made from your scan and shipped to our office. We fit your first set, walk you through wear and care, and send you home with several weeks' supply.

3
Switch trays, check in periodically

You'll change to a new set every 1–2 weeks at home. We check in every 8–10 weeks to make sure your teeth are tracking with the plan.

4
Final aligner, retainer fitted

When you finish your last tray, we fit you for a custom retainer to lock in your results.

Common questions

How many hours a day do I really have to wear them?

Most cases need 20–22 hours a day—essentially everything except eating and brushing. This is the single biggest factor in finishing on schedule, so it's worth being honest with yourself about before you start.

What happens if I lose a tray?

Don't panic—go back to your previous set to hold your progress and call us right away. We'll sort out a replacement and get you back on track.

Can I drink coffee or wine with my aligners in?

Water's fine anytime. For anything else, take them out—hot or colored liquids can warp the trays or get trapped against your teeth and cause staining.

Are aligners right for my case?

They're a great fit for mild to moderate cases. For complex bites, or if consistent wear might be a challenge, braces may be the better tool—and we'll tell you honestly which makes more sense for you.

Do aligners hurt?

You'll usually feel mild pressure or tightness for a day or two when you start each new tray. That's the feeling of them working, and it fades quickly.

Will I have to commit to treatment at the first visit?

Not at all—there's zero pressure. You'll leave with a written summary of your treatment plan and pricing to take home and think over. Call us when you're ready, whether that's next week or six months from now. That said, if you already know you want to get started, just let us know and we'll get the process moving.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. We offer in-house payment plans and work with most insurance—we'll help you understand your benefits before you commit to anything.
